Who Buys Into This Bullshit? · 24 March 2008, 19:44 by trickykid

So Bush was quoted today after the 4,000th soldier died in Iraq. He said, “One day, people will look back at this moment in history and say, ‘Thank God there were courageous people willing to serve, because they laid the foundations for peace for generations to come,’ “

Who buys the bullshit coming from Bush’s mouth? Who writes this crap for him? “Foundations for peace”? Didn’t we invade Iraq? Didn’t we start the war in Iraq? Weren’t we misinformed about Saddam and how he had some WMD? Then when we found none, it was to go after the terrorists in Iraq who had no associated with Saddam? Then it was to free the Iraqi people from Saddam’s rule? Now that Saddam is dead after being caught, it’s to fight the surge to help Iraq build a government?

Bush’s story has changed more often than I change my own underwear. The war was guesstimated to cost 60 Billion before invading, it’s cost over 600 Billion and counting. I think they now estimate it will be close to 2 trillion when all said and done? You know how many homeless people could have been fed with the money spent so far? How many children it could have benefited in going towards education?

We were attacked by terrorists, most likely linked from all the corners of the world in 9/11. We went after the mastermind. Two years later we’re invading a country that was no threat to us, couldn’t hit their own country if they fired a missile straight up into the air for it to come back down due to this thing called gravity and our soldiers are dying for “foundations of peace”? They weren’t even linked to 9/11, at least Saddam wasn’t. So why did we invade again? Tell us Mr. Bush? And it’s not because we’re laying the foundations for peace. We caused the chaos in Iraq, we’re only making things worse by staying there.

They claim Bush receives a report of every soldier that dies in Iraq. I guess he needs to know their name and what they might look like when they haunt his ass when he’s dead. I seriously doubt he cares that much. Any leader that sends troops into battle for a lost cause really doesn’t care. He displays this in how they treat the wounded veterans when they come home. I’m sure Bush would rather see the body bags than missing limbs, a dead veteran costs less than a wounded one.

Bush, do the right thing in serving our military, bring them home from this bogus war that accomplished absolutely nothing but cost the tax payers a lot of money, dead and wounded military personnel.

My condolences to any family that have lost a family member in this war. I also give my condolences to any military serving our country who has been wounded in this war. This is not an attack on the military serving their country, rather than the leader who commanded our armies to fight this lost cause that was never really there to begin with.

Bush has too much to answer for.

I don’t think he has much to worry about it. All his headaches are going to be transferred to the next occupant in the Oval Office.

Yeah. If it were a democrat in office and a republican controlled congress, they would have already had the impeachment papers ready about 4 years ago. But the democrats are too much of wussies to do anything about Bush and his horrible legacy that has ruined the lives of millions and it will take a long time to repair his damage, not just in the U.S. but worldwide.

From Bush’s point of view, just about everything he says is now a broadcast for his successor. So he has to keep the good news flowing so that people will vote republican next time.
